Day 1 - Arrive at Cairo - Sound & Light Show At Pyramids Complex
You are met at Cairo airport and transferred to your hotel, then at night attend a magical Sound and Light Show that tells how the Ancient Egyptian civilization rose along the banks of the Nile. After dinner at a restaurant you return to your hotel for the overnight.
Day 2 - Head to Egypt Pyramids & Gem
A Giza day explores the Giza Pyramids Complex, the record-setting The Great Pyramid of Khufu, and the ancient The Great Sphinx of Khafre. You visit the mummification-linked The Valley Temple and the vast The Grand Egyptian Museum, then finish at the Saqqara Step Pyramid of Djoser before returning to your Cairo hotel for the overnight.
Day 3 - Head to the Marvelous City of Alexandria
A day trip to Alexandria takes in the Greco-Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and the granite Pompey's Pillar of Emperor Diocletian, then the seaside Qaitbay Citadel on the site of the ancient lighthouse. You finish at the modern Alexandria Library before returning to Cairo for the overnight.
Day 4 - Fly to Luxor And Board On A Nile Cruise
Flying to Luxor, you explore the East Bank's beautiful Luxor Temple, the festival and coronation site of the Theban Triad, then the vast Karnak Temple with its Great Hypostyle Hall and Avenue of Sphinxes. You then board your Nile cruise for lunch, dinner, and the overnight on board.
Day 5 - Visit Luxor West Attractions - Sail to Edfu
On the West Bank you visit the mountain-carved Hatshepsut Temple honoring the queen and Amun-Re, then the Valley of the Kings with its 63 tombs of famous kings like Tutankhamun and Seti I. You also see the two quartzite Colossi of Memnon of Amenhotep III before the overnight on board.
Day 6 - Explore the Marvelous Edfu & Kom Ombo - Sail to Aswan
Your guide leads you through the Edfu Temple, worship center of the falcon god Horus, rich with knowledge of religion, myth, and language. You continue sailing to the unique double Kom Ombo Temple of Sobek and Horus the elder, then enjoy lunch and dinner on board and the overnight on the cruise.
Day 7 - Explore the Magical Abu Simbel Temples
An early start brings you to the marvelous Abu Simbel Temples of Ramses the Great, relocated by UNESCO and famed for scenes of the Battle of Kadesh and his devotion to Nefertari. You then return to your cruise for lunch and dinner and the overnight on board.
Day 8 - Head to the Marvelous City of Aswan - Fly to Cairo
After checking out, you explore Aswan's Aswan High Dam that controls the floodwaters, the massive The Unfinished Obelisk of Hatshepsut, and the UNESCO-relocated Philae Temple of Isis. After lunch in Aswan you fly to Cairo and check in to your hotel for the overnight.
Day 9 - Explore the Monuments of Islamic Cairo
A day in Islamic Cairo takes in the mighty Salah El Din Citadel on the highest ground, the Ottoman Mohamed Ali Mosque, and, after lunch, the grand Sultan Hassan Madrassa-Mosque. You finish at the modern Al Rifai Mosque, mausoleum of the Muhammad Ali family, before the overnight at your Cairo hotel.
Day 10 - Tour to Bahariya Oasis
A camping trip by private car takes you to the Bahariya Oasis 370 km north of Cairo, home to the White Desert, Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and the Museum of the Golden Mummies. After lunch and dinner you camp in the white desert for the overnight.
Day 11 - Continue Bahariya Tour
After breakfast you spend the day on a camping tour across the natural miracles of the Bahariya Oasis, with the sun reflecting over the Sahara's heavenly landscapes. You then transfer back to Cairo for the overnight at your hotel.
Day 12 - Tour to Cairo Highlights
A Cairo day begins at The Egyptian Museum with its 120,000 artifacts and The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization with its royal mummies. After lunch you visit the Coptic The Hanging Church, the first-in-Africa Amr Ibn Al Aas Mosque, and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, then stroll Al Muizz Street and shop at Khan El Khalili Bazaar before the overnight.
Day 13 - End Your Tour - Fly Home
After breakfast you check out and transfer to the airport by private car to catch your flight home, ending your 13-day Egypt tour.
