1. Who we are
EgyptVoyages is a tour operator based in Cairo, Egypt. These terms apply when you use
egyptvoyages.com and when you book a tour with us. Please read
them before you book. If anything is unclear, email
info@egyptvoyages.com and ask us — we would rather explain
it now than argue about it later.
2. How a booking is made
When you send an enquiry or a booking request through this website, that is an offer from
you, not a confirmed booking. Nothing is booked until we reply in writing confirming your
tour, the dates and the price. Availability — particularly for Nile cruises, domestic flights and
hotels in high season — is not guaranteed until we confirm it.
3. Prices
- Prices are shown in US dollars (USD).
- The price we confirm in writing is the price you pay. Prices shown on the website may change
before a booking is confirmed. - Unless we say otherwise, prices include the services listed under “What’s
included” on the tour page, and exclude anything listed under “What’s not
included” — typically international flights, visas, travel insurance, tips and personal spending. - Entrance to certain sites is ticketed separately and is only included where the tour page says
so — for example the interior of the pyramids and the specially-ticketed tombs in the Valley of the
Kings.
4. Payment
We currently take payment by arrangement rather than through this website; we will tell you in
writing how and when to pay when we confirm your booking. When we enable online card payment,
payment will be handled by a regulated payment provider, the amount and schedule will be shown to
you before you pay, and this section will be updated.
5. Changes and cancellations by you
Cancellation terms differ from tour to tour, because our own suppliers — cruise lines, hotels and
airlines — apply different rules. The cancellation policy shown on the tour page, and in your
written confirmation, is the one that applies to your booking. Please tell us as early as you
can: a day tour can usually be moved easily, whereas a Nile cruise cabin or a domestic flight may be
non-refundable once issued.
6. Changes and cancellations by us
Occasionally we have to change a tour — a site closes, a road is shut, a cruise reschedules, or the
weather makes something unsafe. If that happens we will offer you a comparable alternative, or a
refund of the part of the tour we cannot deliver. We will not cancel your tour to make more money
from someone else.
7. Passports, visas and entry
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, the correct Egyptian visa or e-visa, and any
other document your nationality requires. We can tell you what is generally required, but the rules
depend on your nationality and can change. If you are refused entry, we cannot refund a tour you
cannot take.
8. Health, fitness and safety
Egypt is hot, and many sites involve walking on uneven ground, steps, and enclosed tombs. Some
tours — desert safaris, diving, snorkelling, quad biking, climbing Mount Sinai — carry additional
risk and need a reasonable level of fitness. Please tell us before you book about any medical
condition, mobility need or accessibility requirement, so that we can tell you honestly whether a
tour is suitable and, where possible, adapt it. You must follow the reasonable safety instructions
of your guide and of the operator of any activity.
9. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance covering medical treatment, repatriation,
cancellation and your belongings. For adventure activities such as diving, check that your policy
actually covers them.
10. Our responsibility to you
We will arrange your tour with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible if we fail to do that
and you suffer loss as a result. We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control —
including weather, strikes, civil unrest, epidemics, flight delays or cancellations, government or
site-authority decisions, and road closures (“force majeure”). Where a service is provided by an
independent supplier, our liability is limited to arranging it properly. Nothing in these terms limits
our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud — and nothing in
them affects any right you have under a law that cannot be excluded.
11. Your behaviour
We may end a tour, without a refund, if a traveller behaves in a way that is unsafe, illegal, or
seriously spoils the trip for other people. This is rare, and we will always try to resolve a problem
first.
12. If something goes wrong
Tell your guide or call us while you are still on the tour. Most problems can be
fixed on the spot, and we cannot fix a problem we only hear about after you have flown home. If it is
not resolved, email info@egyptvoyages.com and we will
respond.
13. The website itself
We try hard to keep tour descriptions, itineraries and images accurate. Itineraries can be affected
by opening hours, site closures, cruise schedules and traffic, and the order of visits may change.
Photographs show the destination and are not a promise of a specific vehicle, cabin or room. The
content of this website belongs to us and may not be copied or republished without our permission.
14. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy,
and the cookies we use are listed in our Cookie Policy.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have
jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of any
mandatory consumer law of your own country.
