Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo and Nile Dinner Cruise

Meet the representative at Cairo International Airport and transfer to the five-star hotel. After time to settle in, board an evening Nile dinner cruise with live entertainment and return to the hotel after the performance.

Day 2 - Giza, Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara

Explore the Giza Plateau, including the Great Pyramid, the Great Sphinx and Khafre's Valley Temple. Continue to selected galleries in the Grand Egyptian Museum, then travel south to Saqqara to see Djoser's Step Pyramid and its ceremonial complex.

Day 3 - Alexandria's Citadel, Library and Ancient Sites

Drive north to Alexandria and begin at Qaitbay Citadel overlooking the Mediterranean. Visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, then continue to Pompey's Pillar and descend into the Roman-era Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Return to Cairo in the evening.

Day 4 - Fly to Aswan and Visit Philae Temple

Fly south to Aswan and meet the guide at the airport. Start at the High Dam, then inspect the unfinished obelisk still attached to the granite bedrock of its quarry. Complete the day with a boat ride to Philae Temple and check in at the Aswan hotel.

Day 5 - Abu Simbel and Journey to Luxor

Depart before dawn for the desert road to Abu Simbel. Explore the two rock-cut temples built for Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari and learn how they were moved during the Nubian rescue campaign. Return to Aswan, then take the included first-class train to Luxor and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6 - Karnak and Luxor Temple

Tour Luxor's east bank, beginning with Karnak's monumental approach, pylons, courts and Hypostyle Hall. Later, visit Luxor Temple, where New Kingdom and later additions stand close to the Nile and the ancient processional avenue.

Day 7 - Valley of the Kings and Luxor West Bank

Cross to the west bank and visit a selection of decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Continue to the terraced mortuary temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and pause beside the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the Luxor hotel.

Day 8 - Fly to Cairo and Explore Old Cairo

Fly back to Cairo and visit the Egyptian Museum's historic collection in Tahrir Square. In Old Cairo, step inside the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue before continuing to Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque. Explore the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, then end among the architecture of Al-Muizz Street and the lanes of Khan El Khalili.

Day 9 - Mosques and Monuments of Islamic Cairo

Begin at Saladin's Citadel, the medieval stronghold overlooking Cairo. Continue to the monumental Sultan Hassan Mosque and neighboring Al-Rifa'i Mosque, then visit Ibn Tulun Mosque, admired for its spacious courtyard and distinctive spiral minaret. Return to the hotel for the final night.

Day 10 - Departure from Cairo

Check out after breakfast and take the arranged transfer to Cairo International Airport. Assistance is provided with the departure procedures before the flight home.
