Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo and Dinner Cruise

Meet the representative at Cairo International Airport and transfer to the hotel. After check-in and time to rest, board an evening Nile dinner cruise with traditional live entertainment. Return to the Cairo hotel after the cruise.

Day 2 - Giza, Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara

Begin beside the Great Pyramid on the Giza Plateau and continue to the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. Visit selected galleries at the Grand Egyptian Museum, then travel south to Saqqara for Djoser's Step Pyramid and its surrounding ceremonial buildings.

Day 3 - Alexandria Citadel, Library and Catacombs

Drive to Alexandria and start at Qaitbay Citadel, standing at the entrance to the eastern harbor. Continue to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Pompey's Pillar and the multilevel Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Return to Cairo after the tour.

Day 4 - Fly to Aswan and Visit Philae Temple

Fly to Aswan and meet the guide at the airport. Visit the High Dam, then examine the unfinished obelisk in the ancient granite quarry. A short boat ride leads to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island before check-in at the Aswan hotel.

Day 5 - Abu Simbel Temples

Leave Aswan early and cross the desert to Abu Simbel. Tour the great temple of Ramesses II and the smaller temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari, learning how both monuments were dismantled and reconstructed above Lake Nasser. Return to Aswan for the night.

Day 6 - Train to Luxor and East Bank Temples

Take the included first-class train from Aswan to Luxor and transfer into the east-bank sightseeing program. Explore Karnak's pylons, open courts and Hypostyle Hall, then visit Luxor Temple near the river before checking in at the hotel.

Day 7 - Valley of the Kings and West Bank

Cross the Nile to enter selected royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Continue to Hatshepsut's terraced memorial temple at Deir el-Bahari and stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the surviving guardians of Amenhotep III's former temple complex.

Day 8 - Valley of the Queens, Medinet Habu and Deir El-Medina

Return to the Theban west bank for a different view of the ancient necropolis. Visit accessible tombs in the Valley of the Queens, study the reliefs and fortified walls of Medinet Habu, then walk through Deir El-Medina, the settlement built for the artisans who created the royal tombs.

Day 9 - Dendera and Abydos Temples

Travel north from Luxor to the temple complex at Dendera, best known for its well-preserved sanctuary of Hathor, roof chapels and astronomical reliefs. Continue to Abydos to explore the memorial temple of Seti I and its finely carved chapels, then return to Luxor.

Day 10 - Fly to Cairo and Explore the Historic City

Fly to Cairo and begin with the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. In Old Cairo, visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue before Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque. Continue to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and finish along Al-Muizz Street and at Khan El Khalili.

Day 11 - Departure from Cairo

Check out after breakfast and transfer to Cairo International Airport. Assistance is provided with the departure procedures before the flight home.
