Who we are
EgyptVoyages (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a tour operator based in Cairo, Egypt. We sell and
arrange guided tours, day trips, Nile cruises and multi-day travel packages in Egypt through
this website, egyptvoyages.com.

What this policy covers
It explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or book a tour with us,
why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It applies to this website
and to the bookings we arrange through it.
The information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry and booking details — your name, email address, phone number,
country of residence, travel dates, number of travellers, and the tour you are interested in. - Traveller details needed to deliver the tour — the names of the people
travelling, and where a supplier requires it, passport details, nationality and date of birth
(for example for domestic flights, Nile cruise check-in or hotel registration in Egypt). - Requirements you choose to tell us — dietary needs, mobility needs,
accessibility requirements or a health condition relevant to your safety on a tour. You do not
have to give us this, but if you do, we use it only to run your tour safely and we share it only
with the supplier who needs it. Some of this may be sensitive information, and we treat it as
such. - Messages — anything you write to us through the contact form, the tour
enquiry form, email, WhatsApp or phone. - Account details — if you create an account on this website, your username
and password (which we store encrypted).
Information we collect automatically
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, the pages
you view, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from our server logs and from cookies. - Cookies — see our Cookie Policy, which lists
what we use and why.
Payment information
We do not currently take card payments on this website. Bookings made here are
enquiries or booking requests, and we agree payment with you separately. If and when we enable
online payment, card details will be handled by a regulated payment provider and will not be
stored on our servers — we will update this policy and name that provider before it goes live.

Who we share it with
We share only what is needed, and only with:
- The suppliers who deliver your tour — hotels, Nile cruise operators, guides,
drivers and transport companies, and domestic airlines. These are mostly in Egypt. - Our service providers — our web host (Hostinger), our email provider, and,
once enabled, our website analytics provider (Google Analytics) and our payment provider. They act
on our instructions. - Authorities — where the law requires it, for example tourism, immigration or
tax requirements in Egypt.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own
marketing.
International transfers
We are based in Egypt, and your tour is delivered in Egypt. If you are in the UK, the European
Economic Area, or another country with data-transfer rules, this means your data will be
transferred outside your country to us and to the Egyptian suppliers who run your tour. Egypt has
not been designated as providing an “adequate” level of data protection by the UK or the EU, so we
rely on the transfer being necessary to perform our contract with you — we cannot
book your hotel in Aswan without sending your name to that hotel. We share only what the supplier
needs.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become bookings — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Booking and traveller records — for the length of your trip and afterwards for
as long as we must keep them for tax, accounting and liability purposes under Egyptian law. - Marketing preferences — until you unsubscribe, plus a record of the fact you
unsubscribed so that we don’t email you again. - Website logs and analytics — a short period only, then deleted or aggregated.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data, where we don’t need it to deliver a booking or to meet a legal duty;
- stop using it for marketing — you can also click “unsubscribe” in any email;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format, or have it sent to someone else.
Email info@egyptvoyages.com and we will respond within
30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in the
UK or the EEA and you are unhappy with our answer, you have the right to complain to your national
data protection authority.
Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from a child directly.
Children do travel with us — where a child is part of a booking, we collect their details from the
adult making the booking, and only what the tour requires.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to booking data is limited to
the people in our team who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but if a breach ever
affects your rights we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data — for example when we switch on online payments or website
analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be
made clear on the website.
