Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo

Meet the representative at Cairo International Airport and continue privately to the hotel. Check in and keep the remainder of the day free to recover from the flight and prepare for the guided journey.

Day 2 - Giza, Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara

Continue to Giza for the Great Pyramid and Great Sphinx, then explore selected galleries in the Grand Egyptian Museum. After lunch, visit Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara and return to Cairo

Day 3 - Bahariya Oasis and Desert Camp

Leave Cairo for the roughly four-hour drive to Bahariya Oasis, gateway to the Western Desert. Explore local archaeological and landscape sites scheduled by the guide, including the area associated with Alexander the Great's temple when access allows. Continue to the prepared camp for dinner and the first night outdoors.

Day 4 - Black Desert, Crystal Mountain and White Desert

Travel off-road through the Black Desert, where volcanic hills rise above the sand, and stop at Crystal Mountain to examine its exposed mineral formations. Continue into the White Desert among wind-carved chalk shapes. Set aside quiet time around sunset before dinner and a second night at the desert camp.

Day 5 - Farafra Sunrise and Dakhla Oasis

Wake early for sunrise over the desert and continue to the scheduled hot spring near Farafra. Bathing depends on local conditions and personal comfort. Travel onward to Dakhla Oasis, reach the camp before sunset and allow time for an optional personal meditation practice before dinner and the third night outdoors.

Day 6 - Kharga Oasis and Transfer to Luxor

Continue to Kharga Oasis and visit the Roman site at Labakha, the Temple of Hibis and the early Christian cemetery of El Bagawat as access and timing allow. The guide explains the oasis's long role on desert trade routes. After lunch, travel east to Luxor and check in at the hotel.

Day 7 - Karnak and Luxor Temple

Explore Karnak on the east bank, moving through its pylons, courts and Great Hypostyle Hall while discussing the complex's documented religious functions and later symbolic interpretations. After lunch and a break, visit Luxor Temple under evening light and return to the hotel.

Day 8 - Dendera and Abydos Temples

Travel north to Dendera for the Temple of Hathor, known for preserved ceilings, crypts and astronomical imagery. Continue to Abydos and explore the Temple of Seti I, its fine reliefs and royal list. Use any quiet time as personal reflection rather than a promised spiritual effect, then return to Luxor.

Day 9 - Luxor West Bank and Flight to Cairo

Cross to the west bank and enter selected decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Continue to Hatshepsut's terraced temple and the Colossi of Memnon before lunch. Transfer to Luxor Airport afterward, fly to Cairo and continue to the hotel for the night.

Day 10 - Egyptian Museum and Historic Cairo

Begin among the collections of the Egyptian Museum, then continue after lunch to the hilltop Cairo Citadel. End the guided day with a walk through the medieval architecture of Al-Muizz Street and the lanes of Khan El Khalili. Return to the Cairo hotel for the final night.

Day 11 - Departure from Cairo

Have breakfast, check out and transfer privately to Cairo International Airport. Assistance is provided with the departure procedures before the onward flight.
