Day 1 - Luxor East Bank and Cruise Embarkation
Travel from Soma Bay to Luxor and board the Nile cruise. After lunch, visit Karnak Temple and explore its monumental courts, columns and obelisks. Return to the vessel, then go ashore again after dark to see Luxor Temple illuminated for the evening. Dinner and the first overnight are aboard.
Day 2 - Valley of the Kings and Luxor West Bank
Cross to Luxor's West Bank and enter selected tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Continue to Hatshepsut Temple at Deir el-Bahari and stop beside the Colossi of Memnon before rejoining the cruise. Have lunch as the vessel sails through Esna toward Edfu, with dinner served aboard.
Day 3 - Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
After breakfast, go ashore to visit Edfu Temple and walk through one of Egypt's best-preserved ancient sanctuaries. Return to the ship and sail onward to Kom Ombo. Explore the unusual double temple overlooking the river, then continue toward Aswan with meals and the overnight aboard.
Day 4 - Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae
Begin Aswan sightseeing at the High Dam, then visit the granite quarry containing the Unfinished Obelisk. Continue by boat to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island and explore its colonnades and reliefs. Return to the vessel for lunch and spend the final night aboard in Aswan.
Day 5 - Disembarkation and Return to Soma Bay
Have breakfast and disembark in Aswan. Transfer to the railway station and take the first-class train north to Luxor. Meet the driver on arrival and continue through the Eastern Desert to your Soma Bay hotel.
