Day 1 - Giza Pyramids & Museum Tour
After pickup from Port Said, an air-conditioned drive to Cairo brings you to the Giza Pyramids Complex, where you explore The Great Pyramid of King Khufu, the guardian The Great Sphinx bearing the face of Khafre, and The Valley Temple where royal mummification was performed. You then tour The Grand Egyptian Museum, a 490,000-square-meter showcase of Tutankhamun's treasures aligned with the pyramids, before a lunch stop and a visit to The Egyptian Museum in central Cairo. The night is spent at a 5-star Cairo hotel.
Day 2 - Alexandria Highlights Tour
A private tour of Alexandria with your own Egyptologist begins at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a 2nd-century Roman burial site famed for blending Egyptian and Roman art, followed by Pompey's Pillar, the 82-foot granite column raised for Emperor Diocletian. After a seafood lunch you visit Qaitbay Citadel, the 15th-century Mediterranean fortress built where Alexandria's great lighthouse once stood, and finish at the Alexandria Library, the modern Bibliotheca opened in 2002, before driving to the port for departure.
