Day 1 - Giza Pyramids and Cairo Museums
Transfer from your Aswan hotel or Nile cruise to the airport and fly to Cairo. Meet your guide and begin on the Giza Plateau with Khufu's Great Pyramid, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum for a guided look at its major collections and monumental displays. After lunch, visit the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo. Transfer to your five-star hotel, check in and spend the night in Cairo.
Day 2 - Alexandria Citadel, Library and Ancient Sites
After breakfast, leave Cairo by private vehicle for Alexandria. Begin at Qaitbay Citadel, built beside the eastern harbor on the site associated with the ancient lighthouse. Continue to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the modern library and cultural complex overlooking the Mediterranean. After lunch, see Pompey's Pillar and visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, where Egyptian, Greek and Roman artistic traditions meet in an underground burial complex. Drive back toward Cairo Airport for the flight to Aswan, then return to your accommodation.
