Day 1 - Arrival and Welcome Dinner in Cairo
Meet the representative at Cairo International Airport and receive assistance with the arrival formalities and baggage. Transfer privately to the hotel and settle into your room. In the evening, enjoy dinner overlooking Cairo and the Nile before returning to the hotel for the first night.
Day 2 - Giza Plateau, Grand Egyptian Museum and Flight to Luxor
Explore the Giza Plateau with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. The guide explains how these monuments formed part of an extensive royal funerary complex. After lunch, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum for its monumental sculptures and ancient collections. Transfer to the airport afterward, fly to Luxor and check in for the night.
Day 3 - Luxor West Bank, Karnak and Return to Cairo
Begin with selected decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings, then visit Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon on Luxor's west bank. After lunch, cross to Karnak Temple and follow its ceremonial route through gateways, open courts and the Great Hypostyle Hall. Fly back to Cairo in the evening and transfer to the hotel.
Day 4 - Alexandria Catacombs, Pompey's Pillar and Qaitbay Citadel
Drive to Alexandria with your private guide. Descend into the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground complex where Egyptian, Greek and Roman traditions meet, and continue to the red-granite column known as Pompey's Pillar. After lunch, visit Qaitbay Citadel at the eastern harbor, then return to Cairo for the night.
Day 5 - Departure from Cairo
Have breakfast, check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport. The representative assists with the departure procedures before your flight, bringing the five-day route to an end.
