Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo and Giza Sound and Light Show

Meet the airport representative and continue to the Cairo hotel for check-in. In the evening, travel to Giza for the scheduled Sound and Light presentation, have dinner and return to the hotel.

Day 2 - Giza, Grand Egyptian Museum, Saqqara and Dahshur

Explore the Great Pyramid, Great Sphinx and Valley Temple with the Egyptologist. Continue to the reserved galleries of the Grand Egyptian Museum, then stop for lunch before visiting Djoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara and the chosen pyramid complexes at Dahshur.

Day 3 - Fly to Aswan and Visit Philae

Take the domestic flight to Aswan and travel by boat to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. At the granite quarry, see the unfinished obelisk still attached to its bedrock. After lunch, visit the High Dam and transfer to the hotel.

Day 4 - Abu Simbel and Train to Luxor

Leave Aswan early with a breakfast box for the desert journey to Abu Simbel. Tour the great temple of Ramesses II and the smaller sanctuary for Queen Nefertari, then return for lunch and board the included train to Luxor. Transfer to the hotel on arrival.

Day 5 - Luxor West Bank and Karnak

Visit the Valley of the Queens and enter the selected tombs included with the ticket, then continue to the Valley of the Kings. After lunch, cross to the east bank for Karnak Temple and return to the Luxor hotel after the guided visit.

Day 6 - Abydos and Dendera Temples

Drive north to Abydos and explore the Temple of Seti I, including its chapels, reliefs and royal list. After lunch, continue to Dendera for the Temple of Hathor and its decorated halls, then return to Luxor for the night.

Day 7 - Fly to Cairo and Tour Historic Districts

Return to Cairo by air and visit the royal mummy galleries at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Continue to the Hanging Church, then walk along Al-Muizz Street and through Khan El Khalili. After lunch, see the Sultan Hassan Mosque-Madrasa, Al-Rifa'i Mosque, Baron Empain Palace and Roda Island's Nilometer.

Day 8 - Wadi Al-Hitan Desert Safari

Travel toward Fayoum and transfer into a 4x4 for Wadi Al-Hitan. Follow the local guide through the fossil displays and desert stops, try the confirmed sandboarding activity and ride a camel to the barbecue lunch setting before returning to Cairo.

Day 9 - Departure from Cairo

Have breakfast, check out and leave for Cairo International Airport at the confirmed time. Departure assistance is provided before the homeward flight.
