Day 1 - Arrival in Cairo and Nile Dinner Cruise
Meet the representative at Cairo International Airport, complete the arrival formalities and transfer privately to the hotel. In the evening, board a dinner cruise for a relaxed first view of the capital from the Nile. A meal and traditional entertainment are arranged aboard before the return to your Cairo hotel.
Day 2 - Giza Pyramids, Cairo Museums and Flight to Aswan
Explore the Giza Plateau after breakfast, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After lunch, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Egyptian Museum for two complementary perspectives on ancient art and material culture. Transfer to the airport, fly to Aswan and board the Nile cruise for dinner and the night.
Day 3 - Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae
Begin at the High Dam and look across the broad reservoir of Lake Nasser. Continue to the granite quarry where the Unfinished Obelisk reveals the methods and risks of carving monumental stone. A motorboat then carries you to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. Return to the cruise for lunch, dinner and the start of the northbound sailing.
Day 4 - Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples
Go ashore at Kom Ombo to explore its unusual double temple, with matched halls and sanctuaries serving the cults of Sobek and Haroeris. Continue along the river to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt's most complete ancient sanctuaries. Rejoin the vessel for the onward sailing to Luxor, with lunch and dinner aboard.
Day 5 - Luxor West Bank, Karnak and Flight to Cairo
Disembark and cross to the west bank for selected tombs in the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, explore Karnak Temple and its monumental sequence of pylons, courts and columns. Transfer to Luxor Airport in the evening, fly to Cairo and continue to the hotel for the final night.
Day 6 - Departure from Cairo
Enjoy breakfast and check out from the hotel. Transfer to Cairo International Airport and receive assistance with the final departure formalities before your onward flight.
